The Life Of Black Americans.
About a two hundred years ago Black Americans did not have any rights compared to White Americans. They were treated like slaves, they were put into ships and carried as slaves to other islands. If he tries to escape he'll be burned in the skin, if he tries to escape for the second time the sinew of thigh will be cut, and if he tries to escape for the third time definitely sentenced to death. They're a little like savages and this may be the reasons for this maltreatments. Later they're educated by the White Americans and brought into a much more better condition. It's mentioned in the "The Life Style Of Algerians" by Fanaan, White Americans were afraid of Black Americans. There was a white American lady, when she observed Black Ameruicans danced around their prey she got afraid and afraid. Later on even when there wasn't Black Americans dancing around the prey she got afraid.
Small kids of White Americans said, "Oh,mom, I'm afraid of that Negroe. There were even situations when one White student went late to school and when the teacher inquired the reason he said" Oh sir I'm sorry. But I couldn't help looking at the Negroe on my way and I couln't feel the time was passing. Then they were called Negroes but later on after many fightings for their rights they were began to be called Black Americans. Sir Martin Luther King's infamous speech, I have a dream when people are not judged with their colour of the skin, is an inspirational speech which I admire a lot. The latter stages of White Americans were well. Especially the American president Obama was accepted by the White Americans as the president of America is very nice. There was poem which was written by Romein regarding Black Americans is as follows.
Here after
This is going to happen.
We are
Negroes.
Blacks.
Ugly Blacks.
We wouldn't allow it anymore
To be your Negroes
To be your Blacks
To be your ugly Blacks
In Africa and America.
And the final stanza of the poem is as follows.
Time has passed.
And the time has come to reap the harvest.
To stop the feeling of
Negroes,
Blacks,
And Ugly Blacks.
I say the time has passed.
Even the drums would accept
the language of international song.
Our day will come.
It would be a day of
Ugly Blacks,
Ugly Indians,
Ugly Arabians,
Ugly Malayans,
Ugly labourers.
Let's stand up,
Whoever is suppressed,
And whoever stands for justice.
We would march to put an end
To the world of
Ugly Blacks.
We would march
To assail your check points.
To assail your banks.
We would march just like a conflagration!!!
